Rick Salick Memorial Scholarship

The National Kidney Foundation of Florida Richard K. Salick Community Awards Program is a scholarship fund for graduating high school or homeschooled seniors or students currently enrolled in accredited universities who have been afflicted with kidney disease and who exemplify the characteristics of Rich Salick through active volunteer community service.

The NKFF established this program in 2013 in memory of Richard K. Salick to recognize students that have shown a quality of giving back to the community. These students must also have dealt with some form of kidney disease. The program’s goals are to provide college tuition assistance to those students who are already making a positive difference in their community, and to inspire others to do the same.

An appointed board of NKFF donors, volunteers, and board members will review applications and select the winners. The number of students who are selected to receive this scholarship and the amount of money awarded to each will be determined based on the amount of eligible applicants.
