Surf Festival

The Pro-Am Surfing Program revolves around the story of Richard K. Salick. Richard along with his brother Phil, both surfing professionals, founded the Cocoa Beach Surfing Festival thirty years ago as a way to help raise funds to fight kidney disease and help dialysis patients. Thousands of people attend the event each Labor Day weekend which includes a full week of name entertainment, surfing competition, food and music, banquets, and the famous “Taste of Brevard and Silent Auction.” This festival is the largest charitable surfing festival in the world.
