New York, NY, May 18, 2021 — In light of new CDC masking guidance issued last week indicating that people who are fully vaccinated can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, the National Kidney Foundation urges patients with advanced kidney disease, including transplant and dialysis patients and patients requiring immunosuppression for treatment of kidney disease, to continue masking and practice social distancing, even if they are fully vaccinated.
